Through the use of either MIFARE® or MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 technology, these credentials protect your most sensitive data by utilizing extra layers of security protection. Smart credentials can be used for many applications beyond access control including transit, cashless vending, and cafeteria point of sale.
Schlage® (Allegion™) contactless smart credentials operate on a 13.56 MHz frequency, and utilize high security encrypted data, which is mutually authenticated in communication between the card and reader, providing optimum security. Schlage® (Allegion™) smart credentials offer the choice of 2.5k, 8k, 16k, 32k, and 64k bits of storage, which will meet the most demanding storage requirements. The open architecture design is built on ISO 14443 standards, providing a faster data transfer speed.
Available form factors include clamshell style, ISO style cards, keyfobs, and PVC patches.
MIFARE DESFire™ EV1
MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 is the highest level of smart credential technology available from Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies. This credential technology utilizes extra layers of security protection – mutual authentication, AES 128-bit diversified key encryption, and message authentication coding (MAC), giving the highest security in the industry to each transaction between the contactless smart credential and reader.
Schlage® (Allegion™) smart cards using MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 operate on a 13.56 MHz frequency and feature the most rapid data transfer (up to 848 kbps baud rate) in the industry – up to 32 times faster than the most common competing credential system. The open architecture design of these smart cards is built to ISO 14443 standards allowing a wide range of card applications such as biometrics, transit, and point of sale applications such as cashless vending and cafeteria services.
MIFARE DESFire™ EV1 utilizes superior data storage – 2K, 4K, and 8K bytes (16k, 32k, and 64k bits) of memory, providing up to four times the storage of other leading competitor technologies.
